Supercritical carbon dioxide (sCO<sub>2<\/sub>) is the most popularly used SCF. Precise pressure control enables selective extraction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solvent Extraction<\/strong> employs a solvent such as butane or hexane to first dissolve the required product from the raw material. The dissolved product is then separated out from the solvent. Because the solvent does not completely <a href=\"http:\/\/www.florajournal.com\/archives\/2019\/vol7issue1\/PartA\/7-3-34-739.pdf\">disassociate<\/a> from the product, the extract has limited purity.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hydrodistillation<\/strong> dissolves the product from raw material in steam or heated water. Distillation separates the two. The use of heat may <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mjcce.org.mk\/index.php\/MJCCE\/article\/viewFile\/35\/10\">distort<\/a> the chemical composition of the product, thereby lowering its purity.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Specialized <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buffaloextracts.com\/applications-cannabis.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cannabis extraction equipment companies<\/a><\/em><\/strong> prefer SCFE and Cryogenic Ethanol Extraction set ups as these offer pure extraction. This procedure is not required for cannabis oil obtained via Cryogenic Ethanol Extraction.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Decarboxylation<\/strong> converts inactive acids into CBD and THC to improve the concentration of these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maratek.com\/blog\/cbd-oil-extraction-what-is-decarboxylation\">cannabinoids<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Distillation <\/strong>isolates CBD, flavonoids, terpenes, and THC based on their different boiling points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Chromatography <\/strong>is often employed as an alternative to distillation. And its higher boiling point compared to butane\u2019s makes it safer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Standardizable because cryogenic cooling is controllable and therefore more compatible with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Finally <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Few are endowed with the gift to tell between virtually identical twins.
