Then I filter the mixture through bubble bags with different micron sizes to collect the trichomes. It’s a bit more hands-on, but it’s worth it for the purity and terpene retention.

For a truly low-tech, traditional method, I dry sift. I gently rub the cannabis over fine mesh screens to separate out the trichomes. The resulting kif is super versatileI can press it into hash or use it as-is. There’s no heat, no water, just mechanical separation, which helps preserve all the flavors and aromas.

After the trichomes have been separated, I move on to collecting the extract. Whether I’ve used rosin pressing, ice water extraction, or dry sifting, I’m left with pure resin or hash, full of the compounds I’m after. Depending on what I want, I can press it further, cure it for flavor, or even blend it with other concentrates. The best part? I know exactly what’s in my extract: no solvents, no additives, just clean, powerful cannabis oil made using nothing but mechanical techniques and smart equipment.
